choosing a volley ball

 

Volleyball balls differ primarily by what game they are intended for. We can divide them into volleyball and beach volleyball. Depending on this, their gameplay, material, and ball parameters are different.

 

From what material?

Leather balls have been the only option in the past. These are high quality balls with a generally higher life. Compared to synthetic material, the right skin is noticeably harder. Due to their moisture predisposition, they are only for playing in the lobby.

Synthetic balls are now the majority of the balls on the market. In general, balls made of synthetic material are softer. These balls are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This is mainly due to the material's resistance to moisture.

 

What is the correct ball size?

Ball dimensions for professional players are determined by the FIVB International Volleyball Organization. The dimensions of the balls for children are according to the categories determined by the Czech Volleyball Association of ČVS, see table:
